If you feel called to start an online business but tech is standing in your way, I want you to know two things:
- I understand. Tech tears were my unwanted best friend for years.
- I can help. I want to make tech, something that drives your business growth instead of preventing it.
Why it’s important to know where to ask tech questions
Hi, I am Misty Marsh. I have been an online marketer since 2008. I want to tell you a story that you might be able to relate to.
Years ago I had a business centered on emergency preparedness and my biggest week, of the entire year, was Black Friday. All of the different products that I sold were hugely discounted on Black Friday. I would make at least a third, if not more, of my annual income that weekend.
Well, one black Friday, I woke up to my website being hacked.
There was porn all over my website. I could not get it back up online. It was offline for the entire Black Friday weekend. I lost all of that income. You want to talk about tech tears? I have been there. I had no idea how to fix it. I had no idea who to call.
I was stuck. I remember laying on the floor in my bedroom sobbing, just sobbing because I felt so powerless.
I’m guessing you might have a similar story. And if you do, I would love to hear about it in the comments.
Where to find good tech support
Tech really can be this roadblock to accomplishing what you believe God wants you to do online. In fact, it can often feel like way more than a roadblock.
First, you have to figure out what the right tools are for you in a sea of like, well, maybe like a gazillion different tools. Then you pick a tool and realize you made the wrong choice. So you have to go back to that overwhelming sea of tools and pick another one.
Maybe you can relate to how the Israelites felt facing the Red Sea. But here’s the thing:
God never asked us to do the things he calls us to do alone.
Not only is He there, but if you remember what he taught about the body of Christ, you will know that there are other people that He will put in your path to help you along the way.
In the body of Christ, every single piece of that body is different. The eyes cannot do what the ears can do and the ears can’t do what the eyes can do. But they’re both necessary.
Each one of us has something to give to the other. I have clients who are great at parenting, or helping others plan for emergencies, or teaching others about learning styles, or styling a home, or repairing marriages, or teaching marketing or teaching ASL and so on and so on and so on.
They are the eyes and the ears and the hand and the mouth, and so much more.
I am none of those things. Maybe I’m just the pinky finger.
Learn how tech can drive your business growth
But I want to be the pinky finger that makes tech something that grows your online business instead of preventing that growth.
You probably aren’t the pinky finger if you’re here watching this video. And that’s okay because I am. I want to provide the behind the scenes support that allows you and your business to accomplish all that God has in store for you and the people that you will serve.
Because no matter what you have to share, no matter which part of the body you are, you are needed. Because YOU were designed by God for goodness. Welcome to Designed For Goodness.
If you currently feel like you are facing that sea of tech choices, I want to simplify it for you. The video you’ll see here will give you six tools out of those gazillion that are out there that will both save you time and help you make more money. I suggest you go start there.
