Ideas for generating Commission:
President Kimball prophesied that “much of the major growth of the church will come as the women of the church are seen as distinct and different in happy ways.”
One way the women of the church can be "seen as distinct and different" is online, and many of Latter-Day Saint women who already follow you are feeling called to start blogs.
Some of them reach out to you: "Can you help me start a blog"? they ask, and it tugs at your heart. You want to help them, but you don't have the time. Taking care of your blog takes all your free time!
The solutions is to create a "How to start a blog" page on your website. You can then link to it anytime you get that question. You should also link to it in your header and footer menus so it can be easily found by those who want to start a blog but didn't contact you b/c they knew you wouldn't have the time.
Write a quick paragraph about why you trust me and then link to my 4 cornerstone articles using your affiliate link (generate a link for each page using the link generator to your left (desktop) or below (mobile):
- How to start a successful blog by doing it in the right order. Why starting a blog in an hour is the worst thing you could do.
- A Blogger's Dictionary. A glossary of blogging terms for beginner bloggers
- How to write a blog post that gets the best traffic to your website. An 8-step process and Google Docs Checklist.
- The best blogging tools for new bloggers who want results in 2020. A list of the blogging tools and resources I'd recommend to my best friend if she were starting a blog.
You might also include an affiliate link to:
- My "Join The Goodness Squad" page where they can get on my email list
- Affordable group coaching. Ask a question, get an answer. No YouTube or Google searching required. Just $5 per month.
Now, the next time you get the "Can you help me start a blog?" question, you can say, "No, but I know who can!" and link them to that page on your site!

Blogging is a remarkable option for Latter-Day Saint women to make a difference in the world and earn income without leaving their homes.
Write up a blog post about why you love blogging and how it has benefited you. Mention some of the challenges you've faced and what you wished you'd had more help with when you got started. Let them know about my site as a resource. Link to specific posts that answer particular challenges you had.
For example, if you struggled to understand all the new vocabulary that comes with being a blogger, link to The Blogger's Dictionary (using your affiliate link).
Or if you struggled to know which tools were actually worth the investment, link The Best Blogging Tools For New Bloggers.
Or maybe you wished you'd known that quality posts optimized to be shared and found were more important than the number of posts you wrote. Link to How to Write a Blog Post That Gets the Best Traffic To Your Site.
Invite your audience to consider if blogging is right for them. Consider sharing some of the following quotes:
President Kimball: “Much of the major growth of the church will come as the women of the church are seen as distinct and different in happy ways.”
D&C 115:5: Arise and shine forth that thy light may be a standard for the nations.
Julie Beck: Righteous women have changed the course of history and will continue to do so.
Russell M. Nelson: We need women who know how to make important things happen by their faith and who are courageous defenders of morality and families.
Margaret D. Nadauld: Women of God can never be like women of the world. The world has enough women who are tough; we need women who are tender. There are enough women who are coarse; we need women who are kind. There are enough women who are rude; we need women who are refined.
Elaine S. Dalton: If you desire to make a difference in the world, you must be different from the world.
M. Russell Ballard: There is nothing in this world as ... life-changing as the influence of a righteous woman.
Russell M Nelson: We need women who express their beliefs with confidence and charity.
Consider doing a FB Live or IG Live or IGTV or IG Video story or YouTube video with content similar to what I recommended for a blog post (see tab above).
You could make just one video and upload it to all the places. You could even include it on your "How to start a blog" page!
